The better the suit, the more attention should be paid to its maintenance. Only with proper maintenance can it be more straight and wrinkled when worn, and its life span will be extended a lot. Many men do not know how to properly maintain it, so a good suit will be deformed and wrinkled after wearing it several times. Here, the editor recommends several tips for suit maintenance that we usually do not pay much attention to.
Tips for daily maintenance of suits:
1. It is recommended to match a suit with two pairs of trousers, and there should be two to three suits for daily replacement; when we customize suits, we often recommend the standard configuration of one suit and two trousers to customers, because trousers are easily deformed by force and wear faster. If there are two pairs of trousers, it is more suitable for our customers who need to wear suits every day.
2. Generally, a suit should not be worn for more than three to four days in a row, because wool is more elastic and will be partially deformed after wearing for a long time. It should be hung on a special hanger for a few days after wearing it for one to two days to restore it to its original state, so prepare several sets of suits for replacement.
3. When hanging, take out the items in the bag to restore it as soon as possible; remove dust stains. Dust can be brushed off with a natural soft brush, or with wide tape (sealing tape) to absorb dust, which has a good effect. If there is more serious dust and stains, it should be professionally dry-cleaned. Suits are not suitable for water washing because the internal lining is complicated, and local moisture can easily cause the lining to deform, resulting in uneven fabric.
4. Before storing the suit in the season change, it should be taken to the dry cleaner for dry cleaning or cleaning. Remove the items in the bag, put in insect repellent (camphor), hang it flat on a special hanger, put on a cover bag, and put it in a cool closet before storage.
5. Simple wrinkle removal for suits: Suits that have been worn for a long time or kept in the closet for a long time should be hung in a slightly warm place, which is conducive to the recovery of fatigue of the clothing fibers, but too high a temperature will affect the shaping effect of the suit. Generally, wool suits can be placed in an environment with a relative temperature of 35%-40% for one night to remove wrinkles.
6. Woolen suits must be dry-cleaned. Dry cleaning is usually done every six months or so. Frequent dry cleaning will damage the suit. If you don't wear it often, and unless it's stained, try to reduce the number of washes.
